Can anybody explain this- or is there a way to specify the location?

you got app data > roaming > SL> skies, app data > roaming > Niran's > skies, Program Files > Nirans > skies (paths abbreviated but u get the idea)

is there an explanation on why so many locations and is there a way to just specify one location?

I ask this cause, for instance, i create one and save it, and if I try to edit it, says I cannot edit a default preset. So i have to then move it to another folder. And just cause they are all spread out. drives me nuts!

my Viewer only uses 2 folders
AppData > Roaming > Nirans Viewer > user_settings > windlight
this is the location of your USER CREATED presets which will appear right at the top of any preset selection list.
Program Files > Nirans Viewer > app_settings > windlight
this is the location of the DEFAULT SYSTEM presets which will come right from start, theres an option somewhere to allow editing of default presets but im not quite sure if it still works or if i removed it because it doesnt.

all other folders like the Second Life folders are NOT MINE they are like the name says, from Second Life (Linden Viewer) or Firestorm (Firestorm Viewer) or whatever else, however there was a bug that made my Viewer use the default folder again for some time. I recommend updating as soon as updates are available (usually weekly)
